DNV USA, Inc. seeks a Kubernetes and DevOps Engineer to work at our office in Katy, Texas. This position is responsible for all aspects related to the operation and support of Kubernetes and containers technology, Azure cloud-based solutions, and strong DevOps, scripting & automating skills (including integrations of cloud and on-premises components). The role ensures the effective, stable, and secure operation of DNV's global Azure cloud IT infrastructure with on-premises elements. The engineer will react to customers' feedback and requests using both ITIL and SCRUM methodologies, ensuring proper communication with customers. Responsibilities also include incidents troubleshooting and root cause analysis, development of monitoring solutions based on Azure Monitor toolset, cooperation with monitoring operators, and producing design and operational documentation. This position requires 5% domestic travel and is hybrid, allowing periodic work from home within a reasonable commuting distance of the Katy, TX office.

  • Responsible for all aspects related to the operation and support of Kubernetes and containers technology.
  • Ensure the effective, stable, and secure operation of DNV's global Azure cloud IT infrastructure with on-premises elements.
  • React to customers' feedback and requests using both ITIL and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Ensure proper communication with customers.
  • Incidents troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Development of monitoring solution based on Azure Monitor toolset.
  • Cooperation with monitoring operators.
  • Producing design and operational documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering or IT related field of study.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a DevOps Developer, Full Stack .NET Developer or related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Kubernetes clusters and containers, GIT, CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub), Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Azure cloud.
  • Two (2) years of experience in DevOps.
  • Proficient scripting and coding skills for DevOps operations.
  • Full stack developer background to support internal developer teams using Kubernetes cluster.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and DevOps tools: GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux), Docker, Helm, Kustomize.
  • Knowledge of Service Mesh (e.g. Istio), Networking and Monitoring toolsets.
  • Experience in design & development, implementation & administration of Kubernetes clusters as a platform for business projects, and DevOps support for handled projects.
