About The Position

San Diego’s Country Station, 103.7 KSON is hiring a local part time on air weekend/swing talent. If you LOVE being on the radio and NEED to have some part time fun, please apply! You’ll host two weekend shifts on KSON. Saturday, 3-7p and Sunday, 10a-3p. You’ll also be the primary fill in for full time air talent. Please include an attachment or link to a recent audio sample with your application.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of ON AIR radio experience.
Must exude personality and knowledge of the country format.
Must have social media experience across all platforms.
Must have working knowledge of studio audio equipment necessary for on-air execution.
Must be able to travel to 9665 Granite Ridge Drive, San Diego, CA.
A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.

Responsibilities

Create original content and perform live or tracked weekend broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence.
Protect the station’s FCC license.
Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly.
Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
Other duties as required by management.
