About The Position

Under the supervision of the provider and/or practice manager, this position assists and delivers patient care duties, and provides administrative support throughout the practice. It involves assisting the provider in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the provider, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information in patients' charts. The role also includes preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients and will be cross-trained to enhance efficiency and continuity of patient care delivery. Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system comprising 14 medical centers and over 120 outpatient facilities in southwest Ohio, dedicated to promoting and restoring health with a commitment to patient safety and exceptional care.

Requirements

  • MA/CMA: Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (through AMT) or completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or MA program through an accredited institution of higher learning and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
  • LPN: Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
  • Experience with use of electronic medical records
  • Practical knowledge in the following areas: examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
