About The Position

We are seeking a Kotlin Backend Developer to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position is remote and focuses on designing and developing backend services with a strong emphasis on scalability and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development and a passion for building efficient and robust systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, databases, and cloud-native microservices.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services using Kotlin with a strong focus on scalability and performance.
• Build and optimize REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Work with Kafka or other streaming platforms for real-time data processing.
• Manage and optimize relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (Redis, Couchbase) databases.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, participate in code reviews, and ensure automated testing and CI/CD best practices.
• (Bonus) Work with financial data, third-party integrations, and high-throughput systems.
