The PWS IT Engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining core factory operating systems including MES, PLC, ERP, WMS, and ACS. This role involves ensuring stable system-to-equipment integration, responding to incidents, managing databases, supporting data requests, and collaborating on new service development. The position requires strong technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, industrial communication protocols, and database operations.

  • Analyze and resolve MES–PLC communication errors (protocol issues, tag mapping errors, real-time data collection failures, etc.).
  • Ensure stable interface operation between production equipment/automation devices and MES.
  • Validate equipment data collection logic and maintain data integrity.
  • Perform MES/PLC integration testing and verification during new equipment onboarding.
  • Monitor system servers and service health in real time.
  • Troubleshoot interface errors across ERP, MES, WMS, and ACS systems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and system configuration changes.
  • Monitor system performance and perform tuning when required.
  • Establish DB backup policies and perform regular backups.
  • Monitor DB performance and optimize SQL queries.
  • Analyze and resolve DB-related system issues.
  • Manage audit logs and ensure data integrity.
  • Extract and provide production, quality, and logistics data upon request.
  • Write SQL queries and perform data processing.
  • Validate data quality and correct errors.
  • Analyze and document requirements for MES/ERP/WMS feature enhancements.
  • Communicate with external IT development vendors and manage project timelines.
  • Perform testing (UT/UAT) and support deployment to production environments.
  • Participate in data-driven automation and process improvement projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with MES/PLC integration or strong understanding of automation communication protocols (OPC UA/DA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
  • Ability to write SQL queries (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
  • Understanding of manufacturing process data flow and system architecture.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (required).
  • Experience implementing or operating MES/ERP/WMS systems.
  • Understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
  • Experience with SCADA/ACS systems.
  • Experience administering Linux/Windows servers.
  • Basic network knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, firewall).
  • 2 - 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
