As a Smart Home Electro-Mechanical Engineering Co-op, you’ll serve as a critical member to Kohler’s Smart Home New Product Development team, designing leading-edge technologies and products that completely transform the Kitchen and Bathroom experiences we know today. Envision yourself as part of a team that changes lifestyles by utilizing the Internet of Things to improve people’s experiences in the bathroom and kitchen spaces.

  • Researching new-to-market technologies and products in the IoT / Smart Home segment
  • Benchmarking performance of Smart Home industry products
  • Participating in idea generation and Smart Home concept development
  • Building prototypes of Smart Home products involving technologies such as 3D printing and Arduino / Raspberry Pi
  • Engineering the designs of electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Coordinating the testing of Smart Home designs by writing test plans, documenting learnings, and planning future iterations
  • Opportunity to present work in front of technical audiences
  • Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited university with a focus in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without needing company sponsorship
