About The Position

- The Knuckleboom Operator at The Beasley Group is responsible for efficiently and safely operating a knuckleboom loader to handle, sort, and transport logs and other materials within the woodyard. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of the industrial operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a knuckleboom or similar heavy machinery.
  • Experience working in an industrial or woodyard environment.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in operating a knuckleboom with precision and efficiency.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery.
  • Strong understanding of load handling and material management.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the knuckleboom loader to load, unload, and transport logs and other materials within the woodyard.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on the knuckleboom loader to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the woodyard to optimize space and improve operational efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of materials handled and any maintenance performed on the equipment.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on safety practices and operational procedures.
