About The Position

KBR's Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division delivers mission engineering solutions for critical U.S. Army programs, specializing in aviation and ground systems, integrated air and missile defense, and threat and target systems. The Knowledge Manager works collaboratively across programs and within IFMC Project Office, providing coordination and oversight for daily operations, short- and long-range planning, and acquisition systems management for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities throughout their states of maturity. This role involves presenting findings, research, and recommendations to Government customers for decision and action, as well as developing white papers, executive summaries, informational and decision briefs, and other correspondence across the programmatic, technical, and logistics domains. The Knowledge Manager also provides KM process and tool development, implementation, training and maintenance, and develops tools/applications for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Information Management, Information Technology, Education or other related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of professional experience is required.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and establishes program policies, processes, and systems to capture, harness, and exploit intellectual capital from across an organization as well as its stakeholder, peer, and higher headquarters communities.
  • Leverages technologies to disseminate knowledge products and maintain connectivity between people and information to ensure a timely, resourced, and informed decision-making capability for the organization.
  • Serves as transformation/change agent by identifying, sharing and implementing best practices for internal/external tool development and administration.
  • Continuously develops and maintains organization's website/portal to ensure knowledge dissemination to users. Develops Power Applications using Power Apps within MS Teams.
  • Assists the leadership in directing and fostering a cultural KM change in the organization while providing recommendations and options to institutionalize processes and tools.
  • Educates employees about KM processes and tools and their benefits.
  • Must effectively and efficiently meet the organization's business objectives and be proficient in gathering business requirements, as well as designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and optimizing the use of KM sites and software applications integrated.
  • Promotes KM and builds knowledge teams for the purpose of developing and implementing a content migration plan.
  • Maintains the continuous development of new organizational and online communities.
  • Develops and implements a change management program to assist in moving the organization toward a knowledge-centric culture.
  • Provide detailed assessments and recommended changes to program, technical, logistics, and administrative documentation.
  • Maintain configuration control and archival of administrative and program documentation.
  • Analyze, complete or sub-task, and track to completion assigned requirements from parent organizations.
  • Maintain required office schedule, organize, and lead meetings with stakeholders as required.
  • Coordinate directly with key stakeholders to ensure supported efforts remain properly aligned both internally and externally to the organization.
  • Provide advice on difficult problems that require knowledge of the subject matter and any dependencies.
  • Prepare reports, studies, presentations and related documentation to support the leadership team.
  • Develop charts and graphs to record results, present critical information, and document decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
