About The Position

The Know Your Rights (KYR) Program Facilitator is responsible for delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed rights-based education to survivors of domestic violence and members of the broader community. This role focuses on increasing knowledge of legal rights, safety options, and available resources—particularly for immigrant, limited-English-proficient, and historically marginalized communities. The Facilitator works closely with REACH staff and community partners to ensure programming is accessible, empowering, and survivor-centered.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal, reading, and writing) is required.
  • Strong communication, empathetic listening, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Model and uphold appropriate boundaries at work with survivors.
  • Knowledge of Greater Boston area and resources.
  • Commitment to the philosophy and mission of REACH
  • Candidates will be asked to submit to periodic background checks.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a car and be willing to drive survivors working with REACH’s program for appointments. REACH provides mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Know Your Rights workshops and presentations for survivors, community members, and partner organizations
  • Provide education on topics such as: Domestic violence and survivor rights
  • Legal protections (e.g., restraining orders, housing rights, employment protections)
  • Immigration-related considerations and referrals (non-legal advice)
  • Accessing local and statewide resources
  • Deliver programming in community settings, schools, shelters, and partner organizations
  • Adapt curriculum to meet the cultural, linguistic, and accessibility needs of participants
  • Collaborate with REACH advocates to ensure accurate referrals and survivor-centered messaging
  • Track attendance, session data, and outcomes in accordance with grant and program requirements
  • Participate in trainings, supervision, and program planning meetings as needed
  • Uphold REACH’s values of equity, confidentiality, and trauma-informed practice
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership.
  • Working to ensure that REACH’s values are demonstrated in the policies and procedures of the organization, every day.
  • Working in collaboration with colleagues in other programs at the organization, participating with internal committees, and engaging with external and coalition work related to the role and/or the organization.
  • Participating in staff meetings and weekly professional supervision

Benefits

  • Optional retirement plan with employer matching up to 3% of salary contributed.
  • Sick time is accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
  • This position is eligible for a sign-on/retention bonus of $1,500. The bonus will be paid in three equal installments, each issued within 30 days of the milestone date, provided the employee remains continuously employed and in good standing.
  • The payment schedule is as follows: one-third at the start date, one-third at six (6) months of employment, one-third at one (1) year of employment.
