About The Position

Seeking a KMS Operations Engineer with strong hands-on experience supporting and optimizing enterprise-grade key management environments. This role is ideal for someone with a solid progression through engineering or operations roles, particularly involving secure infrastructure, cryptography, and HSM-based solutions. Candidates must be willing to convert to full-time.

Requirements

Hands-on Thales HSM and CipherTrust Manager experience
Strong Linux/Unix administration background
Solid understanding of cryptographic concepts and key management best practices
Scripting/programming ability (Python preferred)
Experience with cloud key management (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP KMS)
Familiarity with operational frameworks and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy)
Strong troubleshooting skills across KMS, encryption, and infrastructure layers

Nice To Haves

Banking or Financial Services Experience
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) experience in cloud environments
Additional cloud security or HSM experience across major providers

Responsibilities

Operate and optimize HSM- and software-based key management systems
Deploy, monitor, and maintain KMS infrastructure aligned with compliance and security standards
Troubleshoot encryption, decryption, key rotation, and KMS performance issues
Implement and enforce cryptographic best practices and operational controls
Support incident and problem management processes
Assist with automation or tooling using Python or similar scripting languages
Ensure high availability and scalability of KMS environments
Work cross-functionally with security, engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams
