About The Position

The Kitting Technician II position is primarily responsible for efficiently organizing kit production by communicating with Planning, picking kitting components, and staging work-orders to be completed by specific dates. This role requires attention to detail and organization, as well as the ability to track work-orders and communicate effectively with material handlers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus additional relevant training or equivalent education.
  • 3 months up to and including 12 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
  • Training new employees.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Flexible to changing workloads/ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Team player.
  • Accuracy and excellent follow through.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to assemble kits for varying lengths of time, including extended use of the shrink wrap machine.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and follow an SOP.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and the planning board.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or change departments as needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow inventory control procedures.
  • WAVE equipment certified.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, multi-task, and manage priorities.
  • Very safety conscious.
  • Frequent working at heights.
  • Will require a physical assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently organize kit production by communicating with Planning.
  • Pick kitting components and stage work-orders to be completed by specific dates.
  • Track work-orders and cycle counts.
  • Communicate with material handlers.
  • Monitor Emails.
  • Create X3 tickets and purchasing requests for needed supplies.
