We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee our kitting cell operations, ensuring efficient management of software, personnel, and materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, knowledge of composite materials, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals. Responsibilities include interfacing with the ERP system, optimizing schedules, leading the kitting cell team, collaborating with other departments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college with 3-5 years of Manufacturing or relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 7-10 years of manufacturing or relevant experience.
  • Candidate must have 1-3 years of Supervisor or progressive leadership experience; Union management experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory management/warehouse experience is highly preferred.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to clearly communicate either verbally or in writing with other managers/leaders at various management levels throughout the entire organization.
  • Interface with the ERP system for Material Management: Efficiently manage inventory, track material usage, and ensure accurate documentation within the ERP system.
  • Optimize schedules and planning per business needs: Coordinate with production teams to schedule kitting cell activities, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead the kitting cell team: Supervise and support team members to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. The ability to schedule work and personnel to meet production start dates and the experience advise and adapt when they’re circumstances impede or delay the schedule.
  • An understanding of the software required to successfully manage all aspects of the kitting cell. (Training will be provided).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with material planning, production control, and engineering teams to streamline processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance within the kitting cell.
  • Maintain compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols always.
