About The Position
The Kitting Assembler position at Avantor is a full-time role based in Buford, GA, where you will report directly to the Kitting Services Supervisor. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with Avantor's Clinical Services professionals to perform customized lab work and research protocols that are essential for advancing scientific endeavors. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that the assembly of products is conducted efficiently and accurately, thereby contributing to the overall success of clinical trials and research projects. As a Kitting Assembler, you will be responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, and training requirements while following assigned Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production work orders, and assembly plans. Your duties will include gathering bulk supplies, confirming and gathering proper lot-numbered components from inventory, and reviewing products during the assembly process for any defects. It is crucial to report any defects immediately to your supervisor or the Quality department to maintain high-quality standards. You will also be tasked with packaging orders for shipment to meet customer requirements, ensuring that production levels meet or exceed a 98% service level. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as you will need to minimize mistakes and notify your supervisor of any errors promptly. Additionally, you may assist in training newly assigned assemblers and help assemble clinical trial kits as needed.
