About The Position

Performs a variety of material handling and logistical tasks in support of manufacturing processes. Receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may cause a minor impact on the work unit operations or schedules. Works under general supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures, and methods are to be referred to expert resources. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in exchanges of factual information and provides some explanation; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, require exchanging factual information and providing some explanation.

Requirements

Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read and assimilate job documentation and identify and configure specific materials for each work order.
Ability to maintain detailed, accurate and organized records.
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

SAP experience preferred.
Forklift and other industrial equipment preferred.
Knowledge of logistics systems, packaging, and electronics terms preferred

Responsibilities

Assigns locations to materials in the kitting area.
Works from verbal or written instructions to stage kits for production.
Updates material list spreadsheets relevant to warehouse operations.
Counts and returns all parts to the warehouse after completion of work order.
Replenishes discrepant material requests for manufacturing.
Generates communications to planners, engineers and inventory control team.
Performs periodic audits and/or cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy.
Completes detailed inventory transactions in appropriate systems.
Compiles data and generates reports as needed.
Operates a variety of equipment including weight scales, pallet jacks, and other industrial vehicles.
Delivers material to production and/or shipping areas.
