About The Position

The Kitchen Utility Worker assists and works in all areas of the kitchen and dining room. This role is essential in providing a high level of customer service and promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere. The Kitchen Utility Worker will work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure residents are satisfied with food and dining programs. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs, maintaining the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition, and adhering to cleaning schedules as assigned. The worker will also ensure that food is properly stored and assist in dining room cleaning, bussing tables, setting tables, and assisting wait staff. Adherence to Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices is crucial. Additionally, the Kitchen Utility Worker will assist with the preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals, attend pre-meal stand-ups in the kitchen prior to meal service, and may perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
