About The Position

Kitchen Utility Worker perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons.

Requirements

  • Keen understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices
  • Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Understanding of basic food safety practices (ServSafe certification is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients on the appropriate shelf (FIFO)
  • Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing the kitchen
  • Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
  • Communicates use of ingredients/inventory with Kitchen Manager to keep the kitchen stocked.
  • Support Cooks with various kitchen tasks as needed.
