About The Position

The Kitchen Utility / Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and operational flow across Dock 17, the Bowling Lounge, and Varsity Pins lanes during high-volume weekend service. This role supports both front-of-house and back-of-house operations by running a continuous cleanliness circuit, managing the dish pit, and ensuring guests experience a clean, well- maintained environment at all times.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of a shift
Reliable transportation and availability for Friday/Saturday evening shifts
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
No prior experience required — willingness to work hard and take direction is what matters

Responsibilities

Maintain continuous dish flow during service — no backlog at any point
Wash, sanitize, and return all plates, glassware, utensils, and bus tubs to their stations
Keep dish area clean, organized, and free of standing water on the floor
Run a continuous circuit covering Dock 17 dining area, Bowling Lounge, and VP lanes
Empty all trash cans before they reach capacity; replace liners immediately
Wipe down common-area tables, counters, and high-touch surfaces between guest use
Clean and restock restrooms on each circuit pass
Sweep and spot-mop high-traffic areas as needed throughout shift
Break down and take out all trash, recycling, and cardboard at end of shift
Assist with end-of-night deep cleaning tasks as directed by the shift lead
Restock FOH supplies (napkins, condiments, to-go containers) as they run low
Communicate any facility issues (spills, equipment problems, supply shortages) to shift lead immediately
