About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full-time Kitchen Utility Lead position located at VCUHS - 1250 East Marshall Street, Richmond, VA 23298. The schedule is full-time with varying days and hours, including rotating weekends. The role involves assisting shift supervisors and department directors in the daily functions of the department, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring that all schedules are assigned and completed daily. The position also requires setting a positive example through professional interactions with team members, customers, patients, and families.

Requirements

• Prior kitchen experience.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist shift supervisors and department directors in the day-to-day function of the department.
• Maintain high level of quality in all aspects of the department duties by training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with department team members.
• Ensure that all schedules are assigned and completed daily.
• Set a positive example for the department through professional interactions.
• Deliver quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Provide assignments and assistance to team members.
• Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Relieve shift supervisor in times of absence.
• Adjust or cover schedules as needed during times of short staffing.
• Conduct quality assurance surveys to ensure team members maintain set standards.
• Monitor and report any equipment issues or shortages.
• Conduct customer and patient surveys.
• Interact with patients/customers in an appropriate manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
