About The Position

Upon being hired for this position, you will enter a Probationary status, working up to 40 hours per week. Upon completion of the probationary period, you could become benefit eligible. Requirements

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen using industrial dishwashing equipment
  • Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license and have an acceptable driving record as measured against Colonial Williamsburg's criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Must be available to work all schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Follow a strict sanitation policy.
  • Prior experience performing heavy cleaning, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain Expectations listed below
  • Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County Food Handlers Card; applicants with an active Food Handlers Card should be prepared to present the Card during the interview process.
  • Ability to lift, handle and transport up to 100 pounds as necessary;
  • Carrying heavy objects up and down stairs;
  • Bending, stooping, lifting;
  • Working while standing for long periods of time;
  • Working at a fast pace for several hours at a time;
  • Working at heights over 6 feet
