About The Position

Kendal at Oberlin is a full-service life plan community which primarily serves older adults in the Quaker tradition. Residents are assured a lifetime of healthcare including short-and long-term nursing services, memory care and assisted living. Equally important, residents enjoy an independent, enriching living experience. Kendal at Oberlin's Dining Services team currently has an opening for a Part-time, 24 hrs/wk (4:30p-9:00p) Utility Aide. The Utility Aide's require flexibility to work day and evening hours.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be dependable with excellent attendance; have a friendly and helpful attitude, working well with others.
• Appearance must be clean and neat.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Position requires individual to be able to stand/ walk for entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kitchen experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operating dish machines.
• Washing pots and pans.
• Cleaning ovens.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen counters and floors.
• Receiving, checking, weighing and storing stock items delivered to Dining Services.
• Sweeping, mopping and special cleaning jobs to ensure the department's sanitation.
