About The Position

The Kitchen Technician is responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager with the operations of the department in accordance with state regulations and standards set forth by PTS Corp. This position provides on-site support for the manufacturing and packaging of infused products by completing tasks assigned by the Kitchen Manager that includes prepping, measuring, mixing, building boxes, weighing, counting, and packaging products. The Kitchen Technician helps maintain workspace cleanliness and follows strict quality control measures to ensure high-quality product.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to remain compliant with state law.
  • Two years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective time management and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Accurate data entry and record keeping.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Michigan cannabis knowledge and understanding of cannabis products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with preparing PTS infused products through the measuring, mixing, and processing of product.
  • Demolding of edibles; applying sugar coatings; lining up edibles on trays.
  • Ensures proper handling and storage of all products, materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Building boxes for packaging and shipping products.
  • Ensures consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing and procedures outlined by PTS.
  • Performs all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production facility.
  • Completes the cleaning and sanitation of all production equipment and tools, including workspace, floors, counters, utensils, containers, cookware, and appliances.
  • Assists with the weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products, as well as tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Ensures that the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the State and standards set by PTS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
