About The Position
Kimberton Whole Foods is looking for a Part-Time Kitchen Team Member to join our Café! Requirements: Part-time, up to 24 hours/week. One weekend shift per week is required Schedule: shifts are 7am-12pm. 3-5 shifts per week. Pay: $17/hr to start. Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked. The Kitchen Team Member's Primary Responsibilities: The essentials of this position are food preparation and packaging of organic scratch recipes to be sold in our Café. This includes the following:
Requirements
- Experience in food production and food safety practices required
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Full Sense Range (Vision, Hearing, and Sense of Smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Lifting, Gripping and Carrying Objects – Up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools, and other products.
- Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling – Stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
- Walking – Short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
- Standing – Prolonged standing.
- Work Environment – Movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting).
- Climate – Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
- Supports food production team by making sandwiches, wraps, boxing deli salads, preparing and packing baked goods.
- Slicing, weighing, packaging of sliced meats, cheeses and deli salads.
- Supporting the juice + espresso bar and café as needed.
- Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
- Stocks and fills the ready to eat & grab and go areas; ensures tag and pricing accuracy.
- Wash dishes, pots & pans.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor.
