About The Position

Chick-fil-A Cypress Ranch is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to lead our back-of-house operations with excellence, efficiency, and care. In this role, you will supervise kitchen operations during shifts, ensuring that food is prepared safely, accurately, and efficiently-all while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, teamwork, and professionalism. Chick-fil-A experience is strongly preferred and is a major advantage for success in this role. We are looking for leaders who are passionate about food safety, operational execution, and leading by example in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Requirements

  • Prior Chick-fil-A kitchen and leadership experience required
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to lead in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Experience using commercial kitchen and service equipment.
  • Understanding of basic food safety protocols (ServSafe certification a plus)
  • Comfortable using technology including POS systems and kitchen display systems
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize without constant supervision.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Willingness to work in both hot and cold environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee kitchen team members during shift operations.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and held to Chick-fil-A standards for quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Uphold and enforce proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Coach, train, and mentor team members on kitchen procedures and performance.
  • Maintain accurate food production and waste control.
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment function.
  • Collaborate with Front of House team to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Assist with inventory management and daily prep lists.
  • Execute opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned.
  • Support team members by stepping into any position needed during peak times.
  • Provide real-time feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of care, respect, and accountability.
