About The Position

The Edibles Kitchen Supervisor reports to the Kitchen Manager and is responsible for production of Cresco Labs medically infused edible products. Manages a team of kitchen agents and leads to carry out day-to-day tasks including prepping, cleaning, cooking, and operating basic production machinery. Produce edibles in accordance with state regulations and standards set by Cresco Labs.

Requirements

• Experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing direct reports and teams.
• 2+ years’ experience in food or confectionary processing/manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferably a regulated field producing products for human consumption.
• Demonstrates a clear understanding of recipes, food production and kitchen sanitation.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of SOPs, GFSI, GMP, GDP and other company policies
• Strong and effective task-management skills and ability to multi-task.
• ServSafe preferred
• Attention to detail – ability to monitor basic kitchen production in processes, organize and maintain production logs and ingredient lot numbers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Metrc/Canix a plus.
• Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
• Requires ability to sit, stand, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
• Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.

Responsibilities

• Work with Kitchen Manager to set weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Lead and motivate the second shift team to meet production goals, maintain efficiency, and ensure product quality.
• Manage kitchen agents with daily production of cannabis-infused products using commercial machinery.
• Personnel management to include hiring, discipline, training. etc...
• Provide end-of-shift reports to the Kitchen Manager/first shift supervisor, including updates on production output, challenges encountered, and equipment performance.
• Understand and execute batch calculations per Cresco Edibles manufacturing formulas.
• Maintain production logs, lab test results and sanitation logs.
• Organize and inventory ingredients and other kitchen production supplies at the facility.
• Works with Materials Manager/Supervisor to place ingredient orders with approved vendors, log and date each shipment.
• Packaging finished goods, producing compliance labels, and finalizing Metrc movements.
• Demonstrate an understanding of state and county health department requirements for Kitchen Production Facilities. Handle preparation for periodic inspections.
• Maintain a production area in accordance with Cresco GMP, GDP, and Safety/Quality standards.
• Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco Labs before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc.
• Complete the sanitation of production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment, cookware and appliances.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule based on production demands, including occasional overtime or weekend shifts.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy during second shift hours while ensuring seamless handoffs with other teams.
