About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong desire to lead a team of culinary professionals. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and that all health and safety regulations are adhered to Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing training and support to existing staff Develop and implement new recipes and menu items Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Manage food costs and minimize waste Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all food service needs are met Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency If you are a passionate and experienced culinary professional with a desire to lead a team of talented individuals, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Kitchen Supervisor/Sous Chef.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to read and write English (ESL)
  • Excellent culinary skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment
  • Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the kitchen including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary

Responsibilities
