About The Position

The Galt House Hotel is growing and searching for a Kitchen Steward to contribute to the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, pans and other cooking utensils used in preparing food.

Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Standing for hours at a time.

Responsibilities

Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, cups, bowls, utensils and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.
Cleans and maintains floors and work stations in the kitchen.
Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
Collects and removes trash from department areas following established guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
