Position Summary The Kitchen Steward is responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen and restaurants by maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning of equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors. The Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher will also assist in general food preparation for events. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role will pay an hourly rate of $10.00 to $12.00. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until April 24, 2026. About the Venue The Arvest Convention Center, located in the Arena District in downtown Tulsa, is a modern and award-winning venue providing over 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Owned by the City of Tulsa for over 50 years, the ACC has been host to every kind of event imaginable and proudly serves the citizens of Tulsa and guests from around the world.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements.
- Possess valid food handling certificate required by state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk.
- Utilizes and implements M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
- Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
- Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils and pans after cleaning.
- Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.
