About The Position

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the production process to ensure efficient and safe operations. Manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality output. Oversee the production of food products, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety standards are met. Implement and maintain quality control measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and implement process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and improve yield. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict safety and hygiene standards. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate production records and reports

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3-years supervising or managing large teams in high volume Food Manufacturing facilities
  • HACCAP. ServSafe Certified, knowledge of local health and safety regulations and ability to maintain a safe working environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
  • Experience in weekly production planning
  • Leading teams responsible for batch cooking and food preparation
  • Deep understanding of Food Safety and HACCP SOPs related to ready to eat food manufacturing
  • Proficiency in using data to measure and report KPI metrics
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level using Google Sheets or Excel
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of all kitchen & production staff, ensuring adherence to standards, workflows, and performance expectations.
  • Oversee menu planning and ensure all items align with production capabilities, nutritional requirements, and company standards.
  • Manage, maintain, and update recipes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and yield optimization across all production shifts.
  • Assist kitchen and production staff in meal preparation during peak periods or when operational coverage is needed.
  • Direct all production scheduling activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient labor allocation, and alignment with daily and weekly order requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and ensure appropriate stock rotation while minimizing waste and preventing shortages.
  • Place ingredient and supply orders with approved vendors, maintaining budget discipline and monitoring usage trends.
  • Utilize central kitchen production reports to determine daily and upcoming production needs, ensuring all prep and cooking schedules support order demand.
  • Review order lists at least 1½ weeks in advance to confirm readiness, adjust schedules, secure inventory, and proactively plan labor and equipment usage.
  • Maintain strict quality control throughout the kitchen, ensuring consistent product standards and adherence to company specifications.
  • Ensure full compliance with State and Federal food safety regulations, including proper timing, temperature monitoring, documentation, and HACCP/ServSafe practices.
  • Coordinate and manage training initiatives for all kitchen staff, including identifying skill gaps, developing training plans, and implementing hands-on instruction to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment through proper sanitation, equipment care, and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall kitchen and production success.
