About The Position

This part-time position supports the mission of the school by assisting the lunch team in preparing and serving a variety of nutritious meals to students in grades PreK-12. Daily responsibilities will vary with an emphasis on salad bar prep, sandwich and salad creation, serving, and cashiering. This individual will be trained on safe kitchen and meal prep practices as well as the safe operation of commercial kitchen equipment. The right candidate will have a heart to serve and a desire to create an engaging lunch experience for all students.

Requirements

• Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith; possessing a strong Christian faith with knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity
• The ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Exhibits exceptional communication skills with colleagues, students, parents, and visitors
• Basic level of comfort utilizing computer applications and digital apps for lunch verification
• Ability to build positive relationships among students and colleagues
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 30lbs
• A combination of education/experience equivalent to High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with school-age students &/or kitchen experience preferred
