About The Position

The Kichen Prep Cook supports the event-based kitchen operations and must be reliable and detail-oriented. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting the culinary team to ensure efficient food production and high-quality standards. This role will pay an hourly rate between $13.00 to $15.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until April 17, 2026. About the Venue Home of the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds baseball team, AutoZone Park serves as a year-round venue for events of all types and purposes, located in Downtown Memphis.

Requirements

Must be availble during the day.
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

Wash, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
Measure and portion food to maintain consistency and reduce waste.
Prepare basic items such as sauces, dressings, and simple dishes.
Label, date, and store food properly following food safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to kitchen leadership.
Properly clean and store kitchen tools, equipment, and workstations
