About The Position

The Goddard School® located in Cinco Ranch is seeking a dedicated and organized Snack and Lunch Preparation person to join our team. At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. The kitchen person is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool kitchen, ensuring nutritious and timely snacks and meals for students and staff. This role involves planning, preparing, and distributing food while maintaining a well-stocked and organized pantry in compliance with health and safety regulations. Driving morning and afternoon bus pick up and drop off routes. No Nights or Weekends!!!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and health regulations (e.g., ServSafe certification is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff and vendors.
  • Physical ability to lift supplies, stand for extended periods, and perform kitchen tasks.
  • Cleaning driving record for the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a monthly snack calendar, ensuring variety, nutritional balance, and accommodation of dietary restrictions.
  • Order food supplies and manage inventory, ensuring the kitchen pantry is consistently stocked with necessary ingredients and materials.
  • Prepare and distribute morning and afternoon snacks for all preschool classes in a timely and hygienic manner.
  • Distribute meals to classrooms, coordinating with staff to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Monitor food quality and safety, ensuring compliance with local health codes and preschool policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Track food costs and manage the kitchen budget, optimizing resources while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to address special dietary needs or preferences.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
  • Drive morning and afternoon school pick up and drop off.
