As a Kitchen Porter at Arzola’s, you are the backbone of the kitchen operation. You support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with food preparation and ensuring health and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and interest in kitchen operations
- Ability to stand and move for several hours during shifts
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Calm, patient, and composed under pressure
Responsibilities
- Delivering our promise of Legendary Hospitality through teamwork and support
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen work surfaces, including counters, walls, sinks, and equipment
- Sweeping and mopping floors throughout the shift to maintain cleanliness
- Washing cookware, utensils, plateware, and cutlery efficiently to keep service running smoothly
- Organizing and maintaining equipment and ingredient storage areas
- Rotating food products using proper FIFO (first-in, first-out) procedures
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning
- Removing trash and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness
