About The Position

The Kitchen Operations Specialist is the main connection between all BOH departments, closing working with the Chef Team on operational and administrative matters. Reports to the FP&A Analyst.Supports the Executive Chef and the Chef Team with daily BOH operationsCollects and distributes recipes and ingredients between outletsEnters and maintains recipes in Eataly's database softwareGuides the Chefs on ordering, tracking costs, and completing Interglobo Orders if urgentMaintains order guides, logs, transfer sheets, and SOPs for BOH outletsOversees monthly inventories: assists Chef Team in counting products, entering data into our systems, analyzing gapsManages relationships with vendors, assesses credits and shorts, and works with Inventory Control to resolve issuesReceives Purchase Orders from other stores and processes orders for shipmentActs as a liaison between all inter-store departments and BOHPerforms other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

2+ years experience involving kitchen operations
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, ever-changing work environment
Culinary experience in professional kitchens
Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of basic computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.

Nice To Haves

Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred

Performs other duties as required or assigned
