About The Position

This position is for a Kitchen Manager at a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. The Kitchen Manager will lead a kitchen operations team to provide Gold Standard Food, manage inventory, adhere to strict food safety standards, and create a great work environment. Requirements

  • Experience in managing kitchen operations and adhering to food safety standards.
  • Ability to train and coach team members effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create daily routines that produce predictable and well-coordinated kitchen operations at all times.
  • Train and coach team members to ensure quality food, achieve targeted food cost, and improve waste management.
  • Maintain proper product levels through daily, weekly, and monthly inventories and adhere to ordering procedures.
  • Ensure optimum staffing daily to keep up with food production during busy periods.
  • Motivate and engage team members by reviewing schedules and ensuring proper training for new staff.
  • Keep all kitchen equipment serviceable and clean, and communicate repair needs to leadership.
  • Maintain an immaculate workspace by following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure ongoing food safety by completing daily food safety checklists and monitoring temperatures of refrigerators and freezers.
  • Establish daily routines for thawing and preparing products correctly.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff maintain a neat and clean uniform and professional demeanor.
