About The Position

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for modeling and providing exceptional Guest Service. At their assigned location, they will oversee daily kitchen operations while ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and served according to menu standards and Guest requests. They are responsible for training and supervising Team Members and ensuring the highest level of execution in food preparation, cleanliness, ordering, receiving, storage, rotation, and merchandising.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of chef or kitchen leadership experience.
  • Lead by example and are ready to step in wherever needed to support the Team and the operation.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards for food safety, sanitation, and Guest Service.
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and rotation procedures.
  • Confident in opening and closing the kitchen and ensuring all daily tasks are completed properly.
  • Take pride in keeping equipment clean, organized, and in excellent working condition.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can remain on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • A passion for cooking and delivering an outstanding Guest experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, guide, and hold Team Members accountable.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work on the floor alongside the Team and lead with a hands-on approach.
  • The ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push or pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
  • The ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional and courteous service to all Guests.
  • Prepare, cook, heat, and serve food according to Plum Market standards.
  • Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Train and supervise Team Members on kitchen procedures, safety standards, and daily expectations.
  • Ensure the kitchen, equipment, and work areas remain clean, organized, and in excellent condition.
  • Receive deliveries, stock products, and ensure proper storage and rotation of all items.
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing as needed.
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and maintaining product levels for daily operations.
  • Support smooth opening and closing procedures for the kitchen each day.
