As the Kitchen Manager at FatCats, you'll be responsible for leading our kitchen team to create amazing food experiences for our guests. Working closely with the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager, you'll oversee food preparation, team training, and operational excellence in the kitchen. From supervising the team and maintaining standards to ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, you'll be hands-on in the kitchen. You'll also collaborate closely with the F&B Manager to meet goals and mentor your team to grow within their roles.

Requirements

  • We're seeking a Kitchen Manager with 1-2 years of leadership experience and 3+ years in the kitchen.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, a passion for teamwork, and a commitment to service excellence.
  • Key qualities include a personable yet professional demeanor, proven leadership and communication abilities, and high emotional intelligence for effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations software and current food safety certifications (SERV Safe and Food Handler's Card) are also required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Train team members on proper preparation techniques, portioning, and service standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, cleaning schedules, and sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to manage inventory, food production, and service efficiency.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and regular one-on-ones with the Food & Beverage Manager to align goals and performance.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen environment while mentoring team members for professional growth and development.
