From supervising the team and maintaining standards to ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, you’ll be hands-on in the kitchen. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Assistant General Manager and the General Manager to meet goals and mentor your team to grow within their roles.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years in the kitchen
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A passion for teamwork
  • A commitment to service excellence
  • A personable yet professional demeanor
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities
  • High emotional intelligence for effective collaboration and conflict resolution
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations software
  • Current food safety certifications (SERV Safe and Food Handler’s Card)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Train team members on proper preparation techniques, portioning, and service standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, cleaning schedules, and sanitation practices.
  • Manage inventory, food production, and service efficiency.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and regular one-on-ones with the kitchen team to align goals and performance.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen environment while mentoring team members for professional growth and development.
