About The Position

Anakeesta of Gatlinburg is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our fast-paced dining operations. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of kitchen experience, a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards of quality, speed, and service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen or dining environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Knowledge of local and state food regulations.
  • Experience placing orders with vendors.
  • Proficiency in kitchen production and line setup.
  • Managerial Serv-Safe certification.
  • TABC certification required
  • Strong communication, coaching, and training skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Ability to hear and follow directions in a loud kitchen environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willing to attend Serv-Safe class to obtain certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive attitude, foster a fun work environment, and demonstrate self-motivation and willingness to learn.
  • Manage food costs, read and interpret P&L statements, and maintain budgetary awareness.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering processes, and vendor relationships.
  • Handle employee situations professionally and efficiently.
  • Create and manage staff schedules and labor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Perform kitchen roles as needed, including grill, sauté, pizza, and pantry stations, following standardized recipes.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and follow instructions from the Chef.
  • Ensure food safety, proper storage, rotation, and hygiene standards are met.
  • Control par levels for kitchen supplies.
  • Assist with menu development and culinary planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth kitchen operations.
