About The Position

Kress Food Hall seeks a Food & Beverage Kitchen Manager to oversee all back‑of‑house operations within its multi‑vendor food hall. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and well‑organized environment across shared kitchens, prep areas, and storage spaces. The Kitchen Manager supports both the food hall’s leadership team and individual vendor partners by upholding sanitation standards, maintaining compliance, and optimizing BOH workflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality, food safety, or kitchen operations strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of back‑of‑house experience in a commercial kitchen, food hall, or multi‑concept environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, lead cook, or BOH management role.
• Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health department compliance.
• Experience coordinating multiple teams or vendors in shared kitchen spaces highly preferred.
• Valid Food Handler’s Card and TABC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily back‑of‑house operations across shared kitchens, prep areas, and storage spaces.
• Ensure all vendors adhere to food hall policies, sanitation standards, and local health regulations.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to maintain safety, cleanliness, and inspection readiness.
• Coordinate shared equipment usage, monitor functionality, and manage repairs or maintenance needs.
• Optimize BOH workflows and shared‑space organization to improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
• Track vendor permits, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Support vendor onboarding and provide guidance on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
• Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve operational efficiency, and maintain consistent standards.
• Maintain accurate logs for inspections, maintenance, incidents, and operational updates.
• Collaborate with leadership on operational planning, vendor performance, and special events.
