GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to ensure that the kitchen department maintains quality standards and profitability. This person will train and mentor all kitchen associates and know all aspects of the department. This person will also determine production and inventory levels for the department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides Responsible for maintaining appropriate product assortment and inventory levels Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items Ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance Delivers excellent customer service to all customers Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of the kitchen based on past and projected sales Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Sets a professional and positive example to others Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director, Director of Kitchen Operations, and other support teams Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc. Promptly addresses and resolves associates’ concerns and/or grievances Writing the kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals Quarterly inventory of all department products MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
