About The Position

Do you like channeling your inner Guy Fieri? Does food preparation get you excited? Do you feel the Force calling you? Then we have the right position for you! Santikos is looking for Kitchen Managers to provide our guests with exceptional service through outstanding kitchen management at one of our San Antonio locations. What would I be doing in this position? Manage all aspects of specific food preparation areas within the theater kitchen including the selection, development, and performance management of kitchen team members. (That’s what it’s all about.) Optimize food product profits and increase sales by controlling food costs. Manage kitchen operations during scheduled shifts that include daily decision-making, staff support, scheduling, planning, product quality, and cleanliness. (You get to run the show.) Monitor team member schedules and ensure that the kitchen is correctly staffed for all shifts. (Great food needs great staffing.) Directly supervise kitchen team members; staff, train, and develop kitchen team members through ongoing feedback, establishment of performance expectations, and by assisting with performance reviews on a regular basis. (You get to play coach.) Ensure proper sanitation and safety procedures are in place for team member, guest, and company asset safety. (Safety is our top priority!) Prepare end of shift reports, cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and other logs as required. Ensure great food is prepared for every guest timely through approved processes and protocols. (Our guests love eating great food!) Manage inventory efficiently, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner. Foster and maintain open communication with the rest of the theater team. (They’re really great to work with!) Perform other duties as assigned. (Always be prepared.)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of experience in managing a theater, restaurant, bar, or entertainment operation or similar role with proven success
  • Flexibility with scheduling – ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Great can-do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves with the rest of the team
  • Awesome communication skills and ability to positively interact with our guests and team members
  • Ability to work in and collaborate with the theater team
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Cool motivation skills, with a desire to develop and challenge team members
  • Amazing work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability… all the attributes of a great manager
  • Dependable with attendance – your team and our guests need you!

Nice To Haves

  • Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
