About The Position

The Kitchen Manager at AMC is responsible for supervising and coordinating kitchen operations in a casual-dining environment to meet the company's goals. This role involves providing leadership and development to back-of-house associates while ensuring a professional and safe work environment. The Kitchen Manager will also focus on maintaining food quality, safety standards, and effective communication within the team.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • One year of line experience in a high-volume kitchen.
  • One year of experience in kitchen operations and execution.
  • Certified as a ServSafe instructor and proctor.
  • Kitchen and food safety training (ServSafe or equivalent).
  • Completed Allergen training.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current knowledge of food service industry trends.

  • Ability to maintain composure during high-demand situations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations to achieve AMC's goals.
  • Provide leadership and development to back-of-house associates.
  • Validate adherence to recipes to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
  • Complete line checks twice daily to validate food safety and ingredient quality.
  • Generate daily prep lists to ensure appropriate amounts of prepared products are available.
  • Place orders using order guides and receive orders using receiving logs.
  • Complete and record kitchen menu reviews twice daily.
  • Maintain budgeted food costs using inventory management tools.
  • Ensure successful delivery of daily and weekly budgets, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain communication with kitchen leadership to ensure proper food assembly.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility for associates and guests.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and contact vendors for repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met through self-audits.
  • Lead and develop back-of-house staff to perform essential functions of their positions.
  • Schedule back-of-house associates within company parameters.
  • Manage work environments to achieve high job satisfaction among team members.
  • Hire, train, develop, and discipline associates as necessary.
