About the position

As a Kitchen Lead at GetGo Café + Market, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional food service while leading and coaching the kitchen team. This position focuses on exceeding customer and team member expectations through safe, efficient, and pleasant service. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and team performance, while also preparing for future leadership opportunities within the store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of work for Team Members, customers, and products.
• Exceed customer and Team Member needs by providing safe, efficient, accurate, and pleasant food service.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Team Members and exemplary service to vendors and stakeholders.
• Cultivate a fast, friendly culture by sharing warmth and passion for service with a smile.
• Assist management in setting and reaching aggressive sales and profit goals.
• Monitor quality control in the kitchen area and when ordering food and supplies.
• Maintain maximum flexibility in scheduling by ensuring all Team Members are cross-trained.
• Rapidly correct any equipment issues and ensure all Team Members have access to the right training and resources.
• Supervise product merchandising and integrity, ensuring safety audits are passed.
• Set and promote sales and performance goals for the team.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of culinary experience
• Supervisory experience in food service
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
