About The Position

We are looking for someone who is available Monday to Friday, between 10am and 2pm.  Attendance is essential, and we hope this person will be dependable and reliable.

This position reports to the Kitchen Manager.

Essential Job Functions:                      

Assists with breakfast and snacks.
1. Counting of fruits, vegetables, etc. for each site.
2. Mixing juice and preparing quantity for each site.
3. Helping with preparation of breakfast and snacks.
Lunch support:
1. Loading milk into coolers for sites.
2. Assisting in the preparation of vegetables and meat when needed.
3. Preparing the bread and butter.
4. Helping with picnic lunches when needed. 
Kitchen support:
1. Setting up boxes for all sites.
2. Sanitizing coolers.
3. Wash dishes and scrub baking pans.
4. Assists with stocking inventory to include canned goods, paper products and milk.
5. Assists driver with lunch boxes for delivery.
6. Bring boxes in at the end of the day.
Miscellaneous:
1. Assists with wiping and cleaning refrigerator, range and freezers.
2. Assists with cleaning of cupboards and drawers.
3. Assists with day end cleaning.
4. Serves as the back-up delivery driver in the absence of the regular driver.
5. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have the ability to perform basic math calculations.
Must successfully pass all required employment and health clearances (e.g. TB clearance, clean driving record, etc.).  

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

Requires prolonged sitting and standing.
Requires some physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials.
Requires stooping, bending and reaching.
Requires concentration in a noisy environment.
Requires flexibility in work hours as required to fulfill duties.
Requires ability to drive and transport food to other schools as necessary.
