Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and inventory management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have a proactive attitude.
  • Experience with inventory systems or warehouse organization is a plus.
  • Basic Computer Skills: M. Word, Excel, Outlook. Log inventory data and SageX3. English, Spanish is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods of time.
  • Physical activity, including lifting, bending, and moving items, is required.
  • Basic skills in warehouse machinery, such as forklifts and power jacks.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Shift Leader: Report any immediate production needs or on-demand requests to the shift leader or department manager.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct weekly inventory checks of all areas before placing orders for the pick teams. Ensure accurate inventory tracking to meet production demands.
  • Organize Kitchen Warehouse: Maintain a highly organized kitchen warehouse, ensuring food and supply items are stored properly for easy access and efficiency.
  • Collaborate on Production Orders: Work closely with leadership to systematically remove items from inventory for department orders and production. Assist with picking inventory as needed.
  • Maintain Par Level Compliance: Ensure that ordered items meet required par levels with minimal variance, maintaining stock consistency and availability.
  • Monitor Expiry Dates: Assist the shift leader in tracking dairy product expiry dates and report any issues to the department manager.
  • Order Receiving & Accuracy Check: Receive orders, check for accuracy, and report any shorted items to the grocery management team.
  • Assist with Freezer and Cooler Organization: Help kitchen staff maintain and tidy the main freezer and cooler, ensuring proper storage of preparation goods and raw materials.
  • Report Issues: Identify and report any issues with inventory or perishable items, such as products nearing their expiration date, to the shift leader.
  • Weekend Plate Entry Support: Assist the shift leader with completing plate entries when unavailable on weekends. Ensure proper documentation is submitted.
  • Communication: E-mail completed plate entries to the Inventory Control Team, Warehouse Director, Reporting Team, and Department Manager, specifically on weekends.
  • FIFO Compliance: Ensure proper rotation of stock following the FIFO method, preventing expired or outdated goods from being used in production.
