Kitchen Clerk (Seasonal)
About The Position
Get Ready for the Sweetest Season at Uncle Giuseppe's! The holiday magic is in the air - and our Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in North Babylon is gearing up for a festive season! We're seeking an enthusiastic Seasonal Part-Time Kitchen Clerk to join our team from October to January 1st, 2026. If you love the smell of gourmet food and the joyful buzz of the holidays, this is the perfect opportunity to be part of something special! This position offers $21.05/hour. (Please note: as a seasonal position, benefits are not included.)
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 1 year of experience in a busy, industrial kitchen
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Comfortable using knives, cutting tools, and kitchen equipment
Responsibilities
- Follow prep lists and daily direction from chefs
- Label, stock, and organize ingredients for easy access
- Measure, wash, chop, and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Assist with basic cooking tasks (sauces, parboiling, salads, and more)
- Keep the kitchen spotless - wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, remove trash
- Ensure proper storage and food safety practices at all times
- Support the team with additional kitchen duties as needed
