About The Position
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for two part-time Kitchen Assistant for the Birmingham Area Command, located in Birmingham, AL. JOB SUMMARY: Cleans kitchen equipment and washes dishes; sweeps, mops, and waxes floors. Assists in serving meals ensuring appropriate proportions are provided. Stocks foods, beverages, and supplies in an orderly and safe manner. Empties trash cans. Pay starts at $10/hr.
Requirements
- One year experience working in a kitchen preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to assist in the preparation and presentation of meals.
- Ability to wash dishes and kitchen appliances.
- Ability to clean the kitchen and dining area.
