About The Position

Currently seeking York, PA based dietary workers to fill a full time position at Senior LIFE. Senior LIFE is an innovative home and community based Medicare and Medicaid funded program which provides all-inclusive healthcare services and support to seniors living in the community. Senior LIFE makes it possible for seniors to remain at home, enjoying the comfort and reassurance of familiar surroundings while receiving the care they need. Our team is committed to partnering with our seniors to remain at home through promoting open communication and shared decision making while providing excellent care and services. As part of this exciting expansion, Senior LIFE seeks a hardworking, dedicated and compassionate Member Assistant who, in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager, will prepare meals and assist members with eating and cleanup. As a core member of the kitchen staff, the Member Assistant will have many important responsibilities including:

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have one year's experience working specifically in a healthcare facility

Responsibilities

Assisting in meal preparation and service
Setting tables, setting up and serving trays, and pouring beverages
Assisting during meal times, as needed, and visiting members in dining areas
Cleaning up dining, dietary and day rooms before and after meal services
Ensuring safe, responsible use of food preparation and service equipment, plus storage after use
Sanitizing work spaces following meal preparation
