About The Position

FreshRealm is looking for Kitchen Associates that will receive produce & raw foods, assemble, ship, label, and/or package foods to customers using manual assembly and IT equipment. Follow all safety and health standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 months of experience working in a manufacturing environment applying common processes, procedures, and equipment.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices.
• Experience applying and enforcing routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a chilled food environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production.
• Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• General high school degree/G.E.D or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive foods, assemble Meal kits to recipe specifications, ship kits following Good Manufacturing Practices, and meet health and safety standards.
• Work on a limited number of food areas, lines, processes, or items. Work is relatively routine from week to week.
• Regularly operate standard conveyor belts or multiple pieces of essential equipment (approximately 30% of total equipment).
• Package meal kits following prescribed processes and procedures. Deviation from normal processes must be approved.
• Rotate and check food ingredients for freshness. May receive products and ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
• Keep work areas/assembly clean, demonstrating clean-as-you-go practices.
• Complete essential paperwork related to food preparation, packaging, or labeling.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as prescribed.
• In coordination with the team lead, identify issues with Product, Food Safety, Quality, or Equipment and escalate matters to other departments or higher levels when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
