About The Position

The role focuses on supporting children in the Foster Care/Kinship Program by managing a caseload of families seeking to become kinship foster homes. The specialist coordinates with other agencies, conducts home visits, facilitates training, and ensures regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Must meet one of four qualification options based on education and experience in child-placing activities.
  • Valid driver’s license required; must meet agency driving standards.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and engage potential foster/kinship families.
  • Organize and oversee training and verification of foster homes.
  • Conduct home visits and provide 24/7 on-call support.
  • Coordinate child placements and collaborate with intake/licensing staff.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with licensing standards.
  • Advocate for cultural sensitivity and teamwork.
